i still haven't found my memory card... and so i relied on my trusty 680 and instax mini for christian's fifth month birthday. it wasn't a grand-do, we took turns posing with little christian and saying multiple times "happy birthday" to his chubby cheeks and tummy. christian seems to be happy turning 5 mo. and exhibited his motor skills to the fullest - he's now able to flip over in both directions and is able to scale the wall which supports his changing table (ai-ya-ya!).
sat, we had carina and wee hsien over for tea. i made the spoonable scones from dorie greenspan's recipe. pre-oven, they were a tad mushier than my usual recipe but they turned out light and fluffy, just the way i like my scones - a happy medium between a cake and a biscuit! this recipe is a keeper.
sun, drove all the way to the east and bought a bunch of used library books for $2 a pop - can't beat that. i got tricia guild's think pink and vicki iovine's groovy book plus Viana La Place's unplugged cookbook that i can't wait to dig into.
christian's crying in his sleep again - i'm signing off....
