we fired our cleaners :( it's been almost a month and counting... not that i'm entirely happy about the situation but the company and we have decided to part ways despite various attempts to rectify our state of unhappiness. the good part is, everyone in the household tries to help out, including Christian - who does a superb job at mopping the floor with his bib/burb cloth/onesie/napkin/mommy's magazines. excluding Cinnamon though, who's been shedding for a record period of time and an earth-shattering amount of hair. and since i've been neglecting my poor little girl since Christian was born, i've decided to furminate her periodically.
so, this is my little resolution that i hope to make...to spend time with my big ol' girl by furminating her at least twice a day and to buy her a nice big ol' dog bed for the new place (she doesn't have a proper bed in the living room - i know, i'm soooo ashamed of it)... i'll think about household chores another day...
postscript: i meant "twice a week"...can't fault a sleepy mind...

LOL. I do that ALL the time - I put Nad on the floor and she's way happier crawling, imaginarily swimming on the floor and the floor is clean!
Eeeks..My resolution (apart from learning how to drive - grrr) is also to get proper beds for Stairway and Empress. I am just making them (courtesy of stuff from Spotlight).
i thought of doing the same thing - making a proper bed, except mine will be totally ikea-based...
are you getting new ones? we had problems with ours for awhile too... sigh...
furminator works great! :) but mischy still sheds though... there's just no stopping her! sometimes we have tumbleweeds of fur floating around... :p we're thinking of getting her a bed too... she's been spending too much time (illegally) on the couch!
~e~ : Ours are now encroaching on our beds. So it's at the feet of our bed but still our bed...So yes, lots of stuffing and cute fabric.
