waxing
i've told you before that christian loves hanging out in the balcony. he had learned the word "moon" about a year ago but now he actively looks for the moon at night.
his infectious enthusiasm for the cosmic lune often caused us to flock to the balcony to see the object that captures his intense interest. sometimes, in his trace of the waxing moon, he'll be surprised to find how big and bright it was and he would run to one of us and tell us to go see " moon! moon!". the other day it was "papa, moon! papa, papaaaa!"
this is the aspect of parenting that i so deeply fall in love with. i am rediscovering nature through the eyes of the innocent. i hold this being in my arms and feel sincere and genuine love for me. and i for him. and it rejuvenates me and my marriage. i know that this little kid of mine is so dependent on me that i start to evaluate my life choices a little more carefully, consciously. life is love. but a child reminds me that every single day.
