your momma has never had a manicure done before the age of late 20-ish. So i have absolutely no idea how to file nails. The other day I did a horrible job that made your nails look like the white cliffs of dover. I have a secret to tell you - before you were born I was a little freaked out I was having a little girl - I'm pretty bad at the standard girlish affairs of the heart (but i tell ya, i'm taking a crash course and hopefully i'll catch up before your prom night. fyi, i didn't go to my prom.) Anyhoo, I'm going to take a stab at trimming and filing your nails again. Pray that all will go well.

P.S. I did a horrible job with your brother's nails too and Nenek had to take over the task when he was 3 months old. I'm glad he didn't disfigure himself to a pulp or a character from a Wes Craven movie.
