a lo-fi picture of my birthday celebration. this is my first adulthood full-blown birthday celebration as far as i can recall. it has nothing to do with the "dysfunctional bits" of my family but more with me. i don't like the attention. it wears me out. but this year, i decided to indulge the raging enthusiasm shown by my lovely (i should say, extended?) family and allowed them to celebrate this actual day for me. the reason for the change - Christian. Ever since his arrival, I so want to celebrate my life & who I am - a mommie and a wife, roles i cherish. So here i am, with the two most important men in my life. Eric and I looked so worn out (we hadn't had our hair cut for ages) and little Christian arching his back because his little self was so overtired from all the attention lavished on him.
if you want to know, the cake was delicious - raspberry and strawberry ice-cream cake from Swensen's. creamy and tart. frozen strawberries- mmmmm
the picture is lo-fi so you can't count the number of candles...
