we are back in singapore. self-quarantined at home since we've transited in thailand. picked up the dog. the erbs enjoyed her company :) lucky gal, she got 5-6 walks a day! you could tell she was very happy there because when we walked in, she didn't even notice we came (typically, she would whine and jump with joy after not seeing us for a while). didn't pick up christian from my mom's though - because of our transit in bangkok: thailand being one of the hotspots for the H1N1, we scared ourselves into checking our temps and monitoring them for the following 24 hours after we landed - believe me, it took a lot of will power to not see our baby. but once we hit the sack, we drifted quite easily to sleep. we only slept 2 hours on our 14+ hours journey home and it had been close to 30 hours since we last slept on a bed. eric's snoozing next to me, i had to tear myself away from the cosy cocoon of the duvet because i had to express my milk. I hope Christian will continue to nurse - I hate expressing, hate the chugging sound of the machine, my hands are raw from washing bottles. Perhaps "hate" is too strong a word, I do appreciate the technology that allows me to lactate while I travel though I loathe to throw away all those milk - I must have thrown away at least a quart. Can't think straight. I miss my babe...I hope he remembers us...
