i promised marnie that i'll show her some pictures of christian in the traditional outfit. i promised that, like 2 months ago. chinese new year just wasn't as fun for me anymore (at least this year's) and there are just a few things that i can attribute that to:
(a) i'm finally a grown-up
(b) we were renting back then and i really didn't feel like decorating it for ANY festivities
(c) i was up to my eyeballs with renovation
(d) i made too many pineapple tarts
(e) meeting up with relatives was fun but they also opened up many skeleton-filled closets (not necessarily mine) and pandora boxes
but it was important to me to re-create that anticipation and excitement i had when i was a kid for christian. hence the outfit. i donned one too.
