So we relented and bought a car (only had 34 kilometres on it on the first day or two when we took the pics). We got sick of waiting for buses and taxis and with the baby coming, well, it was time. It's a Toyota Altis, which is a popular car here but isn't sold in the US. After waiting (im)patiently for three months for the car to arrive and cursing the dealer almost daily for not yet bidding for our registration, we got some good news that their last-minute bid came in very low - we got a huge rebate!
