chinese new year

 it's chinese new year and we had 5 days of holiday.

we did the usual relatives-visiting.  feasted, snacked and christian had a tormenting episode of tummy ache that came in waves.  

toward the later part of the 5-day break, we were running out of things to do and so i broke out the playdoh that some kind soul had given to our kids (sorry, we forgot who gave that to us) and christian had a blast making some jungle junction character.

my face appeared so round in that first picture i wonder if i had put on weight or one should never wear hair up when one is unsure of holiday-induced weight gain.  nonetheless, i was glad that christian and i had matching outfit.  it was one of those rare moments which i could spend time with him while alex had her 2-hour nap.

2013 and looking ahead

losing cinnamon was painful to us... life has changed, at least for myself, my perspective on life has shifted.  to get back into posting on the blog seems so difficult.

we received many wonderful stuff from Grandma for christmas.  many of the gifts were handmade.  they were exquisite little gifts and the kids are so lucky to have a all these handmade gifts.

Grandma actually made Christian and Alex Chuggington and Yo Gabba Gabba! pillow cases.  The kids drag them everywhere, wherever they go.

 Grandma also made Alex her favorite Dora top and shorts.  She refused to take them off - even for a diaper change.   

Christian is 3 years and 10 months old
Alexandra is 1 year and 9 months old.

obsessed

the girl is obsessed with me.  she did this crazy thing one night:  she would hug me, then release me, and arched her back, shaking her head as if in absolute ecstacy - all these while, closing her eyes, not making a sound and grinning ever so happily - she did this a couple of times until it sorta spooked me.  eric captured all this in the photos above.  

i come home to kisses everyday

we don't say a lot of "i love you's" but we give lots of hugs and kisses to each other.
